Georgia SPCA - Pet Adoption CenterAbout Us

Georgia SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) is a non-profit organization based in Suwanee, GA. Our Mission is to reduce the number of healthy animals euthanized in Georgia by implementing successful adoption programs and aggressive spay/neuter programs and by promoting responsible pet ownership. As a "no kill" organization, all healthy animals accepted by Georgia SPCA are placed in an adoption center or foster home until they are adopted. All pets are fully vetted prior to adoption which includes updated vaccinations (including rabies), treatment for heartworm (if necessary), flea prevention, spay or neuter, and micro-chip.

Who We Are

The Georgia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (GA S.P.C.A.) is a non-profit organization that rescues shelter pets, has them vetted (disease tested, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, treated for internal and external parasites and microchipped) and rehomes them. In August of this year we opened up our first pet adoption center located at 1175 Hwy 23 (Buford Hwy) Suite 109 in Suwanee, GA. Please come and visit us at our new center! We are opened 7 days a week! Our hours are: Monday - Friday 11 am - 7 pm, Saturday from 11 am - 5 pm and Sunday from 1 pm - 4 pm. You may contact us at info@georgiaspca.org or call us at 678-765-2726.

Georgia SPCA - No Kill Shelter - Pet Adoption CenterAdopting a friend

Our pets are completely vetted prior to being placed up for adoption so they can go home the same day they are adopted. All of our cats are tested for FeLV & FIV, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, dewormed, treated with flea/tick & heartworm prevention and microchipped. We ask for a $175 adoption donation to cover our costs for vetting, housing, feeding etc. Our dogs are tested for heartworm, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, dewormed, treated with flea/tick & heartworm prevention and microchipped. We ask for a $250 adoption donation to cover our costs for vetting, housing, feeding, etc. We do ask for a higher adoption donation for young purebred dogs. Since we treat heartworm positive dogs as well as other treatable illnesses with dogs and cats, our vet bills can be expensive. We hope you understand that since we operate on donations and have the overhead of an adoption center on top of vetting expenses on all of our pets so that they are healthy and spayed or neutered prior to adoption we will occasionally ask for a higher adoption fee with some of our pets.
