Mia's mom says: "Here's Mia. I kept her name after I adopted her in late June of 2013. I saw her story on the Georgia SPCA website while she was being fostered after having her puppies. When I saw she had been taken to the adoption center I went to see her but found she had already been adopted but not yet picked up. I was disappointed, but I was encouraged to leave my phone number by the shelter employees "just in case". I continued my search for a dog, but couldn't find one I connected with as well as Mia.
Two weeks passed and I got a call saying she had been returned. I took her for a trial period, but it only took a weekend to be sure she was the dog for me. She was completely housebroken and has never had an accident in the house. I never had to crate her. She's never been destructive or gotten into the garbage. A perfect house dog! I have a condo, so we take several walks a day around our neighborhood, and she especially likes the park.
I'm retired and live alone, and I'm so glad that she is a such a wonderful watchdog. She loves people and is great with kids. She does great on long car rides to Ohio to see the grandkids, and is a great house guest! I couldn't ask for a better companion and couldn't imagine my life without her. She gets me out and keeps me active. A perfect friend!"
