Toby and Domino

Domino is an 8 month old retreiver mix who was found stray with a severely infected leg injury after having a ligature wrapped around his leg. He lost neurological function in his leg as a result of the injury and the leg was amputated.

Toby is a 4 year old Tabby cat who has neurological issues including seizures brought on by overstimulation.

The two were both being housed in the Vet Tech's office of the Georgia SPCA when something magical happened. These two animals of different species and from completely different backrounds found comfort in each other and formed a bond of friendship. The two could usually be found snuggling together in Toby's pink bed or occasionally playing together.

Domino has gone into foster care with a fabulous family who has decided to keep him. They have two other dogs who he has bonded quite closely with. We are still searching for a home for Toby. He gets along well with both dogs and other cats and is quite affectionate and sweet with people as well. Toby has had multiple tests done to try to determine the cause of his neurological issues and no cause has been discovered. As long as he is kept in a calm environment, his seizures are minimal. He does not have an adoption fee. If you are interested in adopting Toby, please contact Georgia SPCA at 678-765-2726 or info@georgiaSPCA.org.
